01 / Three ways the game changes

A wheel is only
part of the game.

French roulette shares its single-zero wheel with European roulette. Live roulette and RNG roulette can both use the same 37 possible outcomes.

La Partage · eligible even-money stake

A single-zero wheel has 37 pockets: 1–36 and 0. With standard payouts, adding house pockets increases the house edge.

These categories overlap. Speed describes the round’s pace; it does not specify how many zeros a wheel has.

02 / The Wheel Collection

Count the zeros.
Then read the rules.

The 36 numbered outcomes remain. Additional house pockets change the probabilities when ordinary payouts stay the same.

The same wheel. Different zero rules.

French roulette uses the same single-zero wheel as European roulette. Table labels include Rouge (Red) and Pair (Even). Where offered, La Partage or En Prison changes how eligible even-money bets are settled after zero.

Zero lands.
What happens to Red?

The same 37-pocket wheel can settle the same wager differently. La Partage returns half of an eligible even-money stake after zero.

Zero is not red. Under standard rules, the full 10-unit stake is lost.

Only eligible even-money bets qualify. La Partage applies to eligible Red/Black, Odd/Even and Low/High bets where offered. It does not reduce the house edge on Straight Up, Dozens or Columns.

What changes with En Prison?

With En Prison, an eligible even-money stake may stay on the table after zero. A later win returns the held stake without profit; a loss forfeits it. Check the table’s rules for repeated zeros and other conditions, which can affect the return.

04 / How a round operates

From the felt
